The analysis of A Glimpse by Walt Whitman

A GLIMPSE, through an interstice caught,
Of a crowd of workmen and drivers in a bar-room, around the stove,
late of a winter night--And I unremark'd seated in a corner;
Of a youth who loves me, and whom I love, silently approaching, and
seating himself near, that he may hold me by the hand;
A long while, amid the noises of coming and going--of drinking and
oath and smutty jest,
There we two, content, happy in being together, speaking little,
perhaps not a word.

This poem “A Glimpse” by Walt Whitman tells us about quiet observation and satisfaction although poet describes to us in the middle of noise, profanity, and drunken raillery. This poem also tells us about love that is owned by two mans and one of them is young man but they still love and feel happiness although in the simple way.
In the title and first line, we find the word of “glimpse” means an observation. Perhaps it is about secret that we can look by “through an interstice caught” means with the way looking an interstice and we can conclude which is sees a room that full of people there. Interstice means each person that we can sees filtered by observation, experience and also emotional perspective.
And the next line tells us about the weather outside so cool but inside so warm because there were can we found of crowd of workmen that they are drunkard. And it means that the room full of the tired people looking for composure.

And the next line, poet tells us about he saw the youth man who loves him and he love him too. Then he came to him, set down himself near, then he hold his hand as a couple who falling in love. This can give us prove that the poet is a guy, because he loves with same gender like him. Then they enjoyed forward the situation by drinking and others. They enjoyed the night, although there was so noise but they feel only two of body, content, speaking little and get the happiness together.
